Our origins: a family story
Our adventure begins with Grandpa Mario, custodian of a collection of antiques preserved on his farm. When he left the country in 1988, these objects seemed destined for disposal. The sadness over this fate drove Mario and his grandson Daniele to seek potential buyers.
The sale, initially uncertain, ends successfully – and this is where the spark is born.
Daniele begins to distinguish materials, shapes, eras, and workmanship. His inherited passion transforms into expertise: every antique object tells a story, each piece becomes a fragment of memory to be preserved.
The best in the antique materials sector since 1996
In 1996 Daniele decided to fully follow this vocation: he left his job as a factory worker and founded Recuperando Brick and Stone, in the heart of Tuscany, in Ponte Buggianese (PT).
A strategic location, just a few kilometers from Florence, Lucca, Viareggio, and Siena—lands rich in art, history, and unique antiques.
Today, our warehouse houses one of Tuscany's largest collections of antique materials: historic terracotta, sandstone, stone, architectural elements, furnishings, and fascinating objects. Each piece is selected for its quality, authenticity, and integrity.
